DIY Clipboard

Happy Friday to you all! Today I want to share with you a project I created using the brand new January kit! This kit is beautiful, it has the new Clear Scraps product which is this acrylic clipboard below! If you haven't check out the January you should do so, you are going to love all the items in the kit!I love this clipboard so much, it allows you to customize any way you want it. 

Here is my project, I love how it turned out and I hope you do too! I will provide a little tutorial on creating this clipboard too (check out below!). 

Tutorial starts here:

Step 1: Trace the acrylic clipboard on a 12x12 card stock, cut out the shape. 

Step 2: Cut out images from photos which to be decorated on the clipboard later.

Step 3: Cut the shape from Step 1 at about 1/3 from below the shape (if you have a Xyron's 9" Creative Station you can omit this step). I did this because I only have a 5" Creative Station and this shape would not not fit into my machine. Why 1/3, why not the middle of the shape? Well, it actually depends on where you want to decorate your cut out images. :) So trim according to your preference!

Step 4: Adhere cut out images from Step 2 on the card stock in Step 3. Decorate the background for the clipboard with card stock stickers or punched out shapes. Such as following:

Adhere alphabet stickers to the card stock, form the word "TOGETHER"

Run cut-outs/punched out shapes through Xyron sticker maker and adhere to the background.

Step 5: Run the finished design from Step 4 and run it through Xyron Creative Station/Sticker Maker. Run separately if you cut the shape in half as elaborated in Step 3. Adhere them to the back side of the acrylic clipboard.

That's it! Now you have a personalized clipboard of your own, isn't it cute?! TIPS: If you prefer, trace the finished project on a magnet and stick magnet to the back of clipboard. Now you have a magnetic clipboard and it displays your favorite picture too!
