Starry Christmas Night

Wednesday, December 20, 2017
Last minute card making?! What about this winter scenery card? The background can be easily achieved by adding some Sparkle marker inks on a acrylic block (choose a bigger block) and spray the scribble with water then push a piece of watercolor cardstock onto the inky surface. Apply some equal pressure on the back of the cardstock to spread the ink evenly across the paper. Add more ink and repeat step for a darker color of sky.

As for the Christmas tree, it is a cutout from a Christmas tree die by Crafter's Companion which is then smeared with some Pabeo silver wax to make it looks like snow fallen on the tree.  The rest is pretty easy to make! Hope you enjoy making this card and get it sent out on time before the holidays!

- SS Contemporary Christmas Border Die (Santa Sleigh)

- Crafter's Companion Luxury Cardstock (Silver and Gold)

Foiling On Acetate Holidays Card

Thursday, November 16, 2017
After a long hiatus my Etsy store is once again active! I just listed two holidays cards for sale few days ago, click HERE to check it out! Besides I also have more washi tapes for sale and it comes in different designs for you to choose from!

Here is the new card I made with foiling on acetate, I like to try  out different medium on my card to add special feature for the card. What do you think about this card?

It's kinda see-through but with some falling foiled snowflakes element on the front. I embossed the sentiment in gold to give it a slight dimension.

Supplies:
- Crafter's Companion Chloe Stamps
- Crafter's Companion Mini Dies

Spectrum Noir ColourTint Pencils

Saturday, November 11, 2017
Check out this new ColourTint pencils by Spectrum Noir! If you haven't heard of Graphite pencils before, check out HERE. The product ColourTint is the Crafter's Companion's version of Graphite pencils. These pencils are wonderful, they are many good reviews you can find about them if you follow Spectrum Noir on Facebook. Many users/crafters have shared their opinion about why they choose to work with these pencils.

Personally I like these pencils because unlike water-coloring pencils the ColourTint pencils dry much quicker and allow you to apply another layer of color/shade without having to wait for a certain amount of time for the first layer to dry. I also find these pencils are rich in colors, you'll only need little water to bring out the colors and the color looks smoother than the watercolors (diluted with water).

Here is another sample except this one is not using water-coloring paper.

You can still find these amazing pencils on HSN! Follow Crafter's Companion on FB or Spectrum Noir to see more inspirations or even tricks to get better result using these pencils.

Crafter's Companion is on HSN today!! Sara is demonstrating the NEW Gemini Junior machine right now and tune in to see how powerful this machine is! It cuts through different thick materials such as metal sheets, cork, wood veneer, fabric and so much more. You won't want to miss it and the price is amazing! And have you seen the Flutterby Collection?! I can say it's one of my favorites so far, simply beautiful! Made this layout of my little girl and I fell in love with the color combination!

You will get this Create-a-Card dies in your Gemini Jr. bundle! Isn't pretty?!

What's Coming To HSN?!

Tuesday, October 31, 2017
Love what you see?! This is the new Stamp and Die from the Flutterby collection by Sara Davies that will be soon on HSN in just a couple of days!! Mark your calendar for this November 6th  (or set your DVR to record!) to watch the all day long craft shows on HSN, see Sara in action to demonstrate you how to work with these beauties and show you what you can create with them.

Look at these cards, they are made with the Framed Wings dies and matching stamp! Isn't awesome?! I love the fact that it cuts only the sides of the wings and leaves the top and bottom of the butterfly attached to the card. This is kind of a next level crafting we are talking about.

This card is created using the same dies and stamp but instead of cutting it as a whole butterfly I cut it half on both sides on a denim fabric and stamped it with black ink. Possibilities are endless depending on how your creativity!

Pull -Up Card Using Digital Images

Saturday, October 21, 2017
Have you ever looked into the CD content that comes with the magazine? You should! I don't usually make a card with digital image but this is gorgeous and guess what, they are much more images to choose from the disc. Imagine how many cards you can make with this digital printables!

I turned this into a pull-up card so the image inside will be revealed once it's pulled out. Oh did I mention if you use Photoshop, you can also modify the image such as the color of the shirt!! How cool is that?!

DIY Stylist Tree Home Decor/Ornament

Monday, October 16, 2017
What's the project inspiration for today? Make this cute holidays decoration using recycled items and cutting dies by Crafter's Companion! Doesn't this look adorable? If you haven't noticed, there's a jingle bell inside the tree itself! How cool is that?! No doubt I would hang this on my Christmas tree, that's right it makes a super adorable ornament too. :)

I used the Stylist Tree die from the Contemporary Collection from Crafter's Companion, I love the modern design of the tree unlike the traditional ones. Don't get me wrong, I love all Christmas trees only that this one is a little special. I used a plastic cup, you can use any cup you like to DIY this but make sure the proportion of the tree and cup looks nice together. Thursday, October 5, 2017
Here is a flash back of one of the projects that I made that was on Crafter's Companion's last HSN in October! Had so much fun making this 3D decor house filled with Christmas characters. You can still find these fun characters dies on HSN! This Cute Christmas collection is so popular and I can say it's one of my favorite collections ever!

Honestly it took me awhile to construct this decor house but it was really satisfying to see the final project came out nicely when it's done. I sent this in for HSN show which mean I can't use it decorate my house this Christmas (even so it was pretty cool to see it on TV!!).

Sara Davies Signature Black & Gold Collection

Saturday, September 30, 2017
Black and Gold, it's one of the best combination of colors ever (in my opinion). The crafting expert Sara Davies (also the mastermind behind Crafter's Companion) came up with this collection Black & Gold and I think it's a fabulous idea! The patterned papers look good for making elegant project like one I did below. A home decor frame that will fit in any room perfectly. I'm thinking kitchen, bedroom, living room and even rest room (I'm not joking!). I think it will light up the room or at least gives it a completely different modern look.

Sara is bringing this collection to HSN this coming October 3rd (which is next Tuesday!) so make sure to set your alarm clock and watch Sara and Jennifer demonstrate the entire collection with you! There will be plenty more projects to get you inspired! And spoiler alert, they will also be giveaways (many giveaways) on the day as well. Don't miss it, follow all design team members on their social media (click HERE to follow me on Instagram!) to catch all the news and freebies!
