Welcome Spring Banner

Monday, March 27, 2017
Spring is here! Made this banner to welcome the spring and say good bye to winter. Although it has already been spring time but the weather around here is still pretty cold. However, it's clearly more rains these couple days (April shower already?!!). I still miss the tropical weather that I grew up in, hot summer days most part of the year plus maybe a month or two of rainy season. What's your favorite season? Summer and fall are my favorites, spring would be my favorite too if I wasn't allergic to pollen. Gratefully thanks to the availability of medication able to temporarily suspend the allergy symptoms so I could actually enjoy the beauty of spring.

Here is the banner I made, love the soft beautiful pastel colors. What's your favorite spring colors?

Card With Crafter's Companion Foil Transfer - HSN March 21st

Sunday, March 19, 2017
I have been into foiling for a long time now, I own a machine that does foiling but I'm not quite happy with the result due to few factors. One of them being my laser printer, it doesn't print image with even coverage of toner thus the foil doesn't stick to the entire image. It leaves the final result with black spots. I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the machine since it functions like a regular laminator except with different level of heat settings.

Anyway, Crafter's Companion came out with this super cool foiling method where heat is not required in the process! It's like rub-ons, the foil sticks to the sticky images and the result comes out perfect each time. Error-free. Love these so much I wish they will release more different designs in the future. Look at the card I created below using their amazing foil transfer. Catch this foil transfer starter kit on HSN this 21st of March, it's a hot deal don't wait till it's gone.

It's Tea Time Card

Thursday, March 16, 2017
Introducing you today is another Create-a-Card die from Crafter's Companion. If you followed the show on HSN last week then you definitely had been introduced to the following tea cup/pot die already. Check my previous post for the sewing machine design and a card I created with the die.

I tried this die on a foam sheet this time and it cuts like a butter, nothing sticks to the die at all. I usually use double-sided tapes to pop-up the cardstock cutout but with the foam sheet it achieves the same result and gives a slightly different feel on the hand. Check out other available designs on HSN! See the end of post for a complete list of supplies used for the following card.

Supplies:

- Die'sire Edge'ables Die (Afternoon Tea)

- SS Rustic Cottage 6x6 Paper Pad

Others:
- Foam Sheet
- Flower Bling

Bloom Card with New Products from Crafter's Companion!

Tuesday, March 7, 2017
Marked your calendar?! Tomorrow is the day!! Crafter's Companion is again coming to HSN to bring you more amazing crafty products! I'm so excited to know I will be part of this team for another year and that I'm able to share with you more crafting ideas using Crafter's Companion products!

Sharing with you today is this Bloom card I created with the new Create-a-Card die you see on the card. I first die-cut the shape and without moving any cutout pieces from the die I colored the background pieces with a sponge dauber and versamark inks. After that I transfer the pieces to the main card where I stamped the flower images. Don't you just love the stamps? They are the new Spectrum Noir Aqua Flower Stems Stamp Set, you can add/draw any flower you like to the flower stems! I used my new Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers to color in the flowers and then outline it with black colored pen.

Beautiful Bloom By Leonie Pujol - HSN March 8th!

Saturday, March 4, 2017
I'm back! I made a card using Beautiful Bloom stamps set by Leonie Pujol and colored it with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers. The purple background is done with Spectrum Noir Aqua marker. To create non-overlapping images, use masking fluid to mask the flowers before you stamp the leaves. As for the watercolor background, mask the leaves right after stamping so the flowers and leaves will not be smeared by the watercolor that you're going to apply later.

This stamps set is coming to HSN on March 8th accompanied by Sara Davies and Jennifer Tryon of Crafter's Companion to show you all the items that will be on show that day so you might want to mark the calendar!

Below is one of the items will be on sale that day, it's on my wish list!!

Supplies:

- Leonie Pujol Stamps Set (Beautiful Bloom)
- Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers (CR11, CT3, AG3, AB3, AB1, OR3)
- Spectrum Noir Aqua Marker (Purple)
- Crafter's Companion Watercolour Cardstock
- SS Rustic Cottage Stamps and Dies Set (Cherished Memories)

Others:
- Masking Fluid
