Play Time

Sunday, November 27, 2011
One of Jon's play time! The picture was taken when Jon was about 8months old, yep...still at sitter to crawler stage! I created this layout using the scrap papers I had from creating my previous layout titled "Love". This layout features hidden messages in two half folded heart as shown in the pictures below. I also used my first hand made felt flower on it, I love how it looks on my layout! So I was asked about how I keep the layout since it's a 3D layout, good question! I actually hang it up in a 3D frame so the elements on the layout won't get ripped off!

Love

Opening heart hidden message, just another Alexia's journaling style! Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by!

Laugh & Smile

Tuesday, November 22, 2011
My precious baby, Jonathan he is simply a lovely and happy baby! He loves to laugh and his smile can kill, no kidding! lol. I designed the following layout with layered circles and each layer of circle has different pictures, also one for the journal. To view the journal simply pull the butterfly to the right, please see the layouts below:

The base paper is of size 10 1/4" x 10 1/4"

The first layer is a transparent plastic cover which also rotatable:

Just Me, Only Me

Tuesday, November 15, 2011
Realized I'd never scrap about myself so here is it, a picture of me of year 2007, a day after my birthday! I remember I celebrated my 23rd birthday alone in Singapore cos had to go to work the next day so couldn't go back to my home in Malaysia. Well, it wasn't bad, I had a pretty good day myself hanging out places in Singapore. Oh Singapore, I miss you so much, miss the city life! Can't wait to see you again next year January during our trip to M'sia for CNY celebration.

Back to the layout, I used felt fabric this time. Nothing much special to see on picture until you can experience and touch it. Just different. lol. I used green one for the leaves too! Went to Michael's last week and they had it on sale so I grabbed some thinking maybe I can use it on my projects, card, scrapbooking, etc. Of course as usual, I bought several things that I not exactly wanted. That's the downside of being a member, you just have to spend more to get the offer. However, I enjoyed the shopping (which matters most):P

Boo Boo

Sunday, November 13, 2011
Jon and his little boo boo, it was awhile ago my poor kid hit himself on the corner of the bed! Luckily it was not on his eyes! The layout features a flip-up bottom for journal, pictures, etc! Btw, created this layout for a challenge on Colourful Creations which the requirements included the use of red, yellow and green as the dominant colors on the page. It's really a challenge to work with yellow, I'm not a fan of this color!! lol~

Baby's Debut

I created this for a challenge on Colourful Creations, the requirements were to use kraft paper (I used one from my delivery package! - lol) and bulgundy color so I created this. A little stage for Jon. :)

I'm not a girl

So I finally done with this one, a corset layout! I have this picture of Jon crying because he didn't like the pony tail I put on his front hairs. Btw, I used laces, doodle twine, eyelets on the corset. Papers from K & Company, I love the papers they have, so pretty!

Just Chilling

Saturday, November 5, 2011
I uploaded following layouts yesterday night and didn't have time to put up some description. So, basically this is just another one of my layouts with my precious baby's picture! I designed some brick-style background on the borders and on the picture itself. I used mostly Prima's products such as flowers, papers and other product brands as well for the embellishments. I also used K & Company paper too as the main base paper. Techniques that I used in this layout are distressing, paper punching, matting, etc. :) Please take a look:
