Valentine's Treat Box and Card

Friday, February 19, 2016
Hi all! I'm back today with another Valentine's project - heart shape treat box! I fill it up with chocolates but you can actually put anything you like in these cute boxes!

What you will need to create this project:
- Craftwell Teresa Collins A4 Embossing Folder - So In Love
- Craftwell Teresa Collins A4 Embossing Folder - Love
- Acetate Sheets
- Red, Pink, Hot Pink Card Stocks

Direction:

Step 1: Download cut file and cut the shape out in different sizes and colors (as shown in second picture below).

Step 2: Cut a strip of card stock that is 1 1/4" x 11" long and place on a scoring board, score at 1/4". Fold along scored line and using a scissor, cut in 1/4" intervals as shown in second image below. (Prepare two to make a box)

Step 3: Prepare embossed acetate and other embellishments.

Step 4: Place one of the cut out heart shape on the embossed acetate and trace the shape using a marker. Cut out the shape.

Step 5: Using the card stock strip prepared in Step 3, adhere the strip to a heart shape cut-out to form the base for the box. Result as shown in picture 2. In picture 3, glue the pink heart frame on top of the red one. Take the second card stock strip from Step 3 and glue around the result frame in picture 3 below (to form the cover for the box).

Lastly, using double-sided tape adhere the embossed acetate prepared in Step 4 to the inside of the finished cover. As shown in picture 4.

Here is the final product! Hope you like the idea and project!
NOTE: Using the LOVE embossing folder, I made a matching card to go with the treat box.

If you are interested in the following two new embossing folders, make sure to head over to Craftwell website for more details.

Happy Valentine's Day to you!
