Hello all my crafty friends! How was your National Scrapbooking Day celebration last Saturday? I hope it was fantastic! I'm here to share a Mother's day card I created with you today. This time instead of using a cut file (which I usually do) I use a die instead, I love the flexibility of the cutting machine that allows you to design and cut whatever image you like but I also love the die-cut effect!
Here is the card I created using CutCardStock Basis card stocks and die-namites flower die! I already sent this to my mom to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. I hope I put a smile on her face. :)
Here are few brief steps to make this card:
Step 1: Use a larger label die and cut the outer frame for the card
Step 2: Use a smaller label die to cut the inner label on a patterned paper
Step 3: Use a flower die and cut on the label created in Step 2
Step 4: Cut a flower shape using the same flower die and fit it to the cut out result in Step 3
Step 5: To embellish the card, prepare more cut out flowers as shown in picture below
Step 6: Stamp sentiment and done! (I added some heart wood veneers too but this is optional)
NOTE: For the background, use different solid color paper to bring out the contrast.
I hope you like the card I'm sharing today, if you like to make one for your mom or friends don't worry, CutCardStock has the Basis card stocks on sale this week! Happy creating and I hope you have an amazing week ahead! -Alexia
