Happy Wednesday everyone, this is Alexia here with you today! Have you checked out the December kit yet? This kit is awesome, I love many things in this kit, the card stocks, acrylic sheets, faux snowflakes maker and so on! I want to show you a project that I created using this kit today, I will share the tutorial to make this project too! First lets take a look at what I have created...
A DIY picture ornaments! You can use personal pictures on all four sides of the cube but I prefer to add the 3x4 patterned card stocks that come with the kit! This is going to be special because you can't buy such ornaments anywhere! :)
Here is how I make it:
Step 1: Cut the 12 x 12 acrylic sheet that comes in the kit to the following pieces (you can make two of this ornaments with this 12 x 12 size acrylic sheet, one slightly larger than the other).
Sizes are such as followings:
Four of 4"(H) x 3"(L), top and bottom cover is 3 x 3"
Four of 4"(H) x 2 3/4"(L), top and bottom cover is 2-3/4 x 2 3/4"
Step 2: Cut out the 3x4 patterned card stock out from the 12x12 patterned card stock
Step 3: Run the 3x4 patterned card stocks from Step 2 through Xyron 3" sticker makers
Step 4: Adhere the adhesive 3x4 patterned card stock created above to 3x4 acrylic sheets in Step 1. If you use personal pictures, trim the picture to the size of 3x4 and run it through sticker maker (picture side facing down).
This is how it should looks like before you assemble the ornaments.
Step 5: Using a glue gun, glue all edges together including the top and bottom acrylic sheets. Peel off protective films to embellish. DO NOT remove the protective films before or during application of hot glue because the string of glue might end up on the surface of the acrylic sheets.
That's it! Now you have these personalized ornaments for your Christmas tree this year! You can even for use it as gift for others, meaningful and special.
I hope you like this project today! Now grab this kit before it's gone! :)
Not included in the the kit: Ribbon and button for the handle
