Merry Christmas Gift Box

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Hello all! It's almost the time of the year again! Head over to CutCardStock blog now for Holiday Countdown Series from the 10th to 21st this month! This is my project shared on CutCardStock blog yesterday! This gift box is perfect for gift giving this holiday season! To create this project, I have a step-by-step tutorial.

Here is how to make this cute little gift box!

Step 1: Download this cut file over at CutCardStock Blog HERE and cut the images out with your cutting machine, the CutCardStock's #80 card stock is perfect for this project because the card stock is not flimsy to hold gift inside. If you are using heavier cut stock that's even better, just remember to set your blade setting to proper paper thickness. The following is what I got after cutting the image file, the image you download might be slightly different than the one I used but the way to construct is similar.

Step 2: Apply adhesives on all the closing flaps, close and form a box. I cut a square card stock and adhere to the inside of the top cover of the box.

Step 3: Run the decorative strip through sticker maker and adhere to the box

Step 4: Embellish the box with some gold star sequins, I used Glue Dots adhesive

Step 5: Wrap the box with ribbon (of course, don't forget to put your gift inside first! hehe)

You can make a bunch of these for gift giving, simply change the front design if you like (instead of "Merry Christmas" you can change it to "From Santa", "Happy New Year", etc). This box is great for holding gift card too!
