Crafter's Companion On HSN Today!!!

Crafter's Companion is on HSN today!! Here are some sneak peaks for some of the new crafty goodies that are on HSN today.First of all, the Gemini Stamps and Dies range. They are three bundles available and each bundle contains 3 stamps and dies sets. 

Secondly the Crafter's Companion's in house designer stamps set, this set is called Festive Stag colored with the brand NEW Spectrum Noir Holidays Sparkle Markers set!

How can you say no to these ink pads? They are so easy to apply and they are water-reactive, I love them!

The last card I'm sharing today is this Christmas card made with the Die'sire Edge'sbles dies! Two bundles available and four dies each (Total eight dies!). I used mainly glittered cardstock on this card, it's so shiny! And the layers, I just love to add dimensions to my card!

Starry Christmas Night

Last minute card making?! What about this winter scenery card? The background can be easily achieved by adding some Sparkle marker inks on a acrylic block (choose a bigger block) and spray the scribble with water then push a piece of watercolor cardstock onto the inky surface. Apply some equal pressure on the back of the cardstock to spread the ink evenly across the paper. Add more ink and repeat step for a darker color of sky. 

As for the Christmas tree, it is a cutout from a Christmas tree die by Crafter's Companion which is then smeared with some Pabeo silver wax to make it looks like snow fallen on the tree.  The rest is pretty easy to make! Hope you enjoy making this card and get it sent out on time before the holidays!

Spectrum Noir AquaBlend Pencils And Embossing

Another card using Sheena's embossing folder - Baubles Baby. The dimension is so beautiful I decided to color it with Spectrum Noir AquaBlend pencils. These pencils are so cool it let you add water to the colored image and create a watercolor effect! If it isn't on your Christmas list you should add this to it! :)

Happy Christmas Card With DIY background pattern

Have you sent all your holidays card out yet? Sharing this card using Chloe's stamps and die today. I used foil over the holly leaves instead of stamps. The background was made by coloring a silver glitter stock with a green Spectrum Noir alcohol marker! Love the look of it, who says you need to use patterned paper all the time?! :)

Hey Santa!

It's the month of the season and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Here I am sharing one of the holidays cards I made to join the countdown spirit! I created this card using Sheena's embossing folder named "Hey Santa!" on a watercolor cardstock and then colored it with sparkle markers! To make the Santa stand out from the overall design I simply outlined it with black Aqua marker and left the inside blank. For a complete list of supplies used, please see end of post.

Foiling On Acetate Holidays Card

Here is the new card I made with foiling on acetate, I like to try  out different medium on my card to add special feature for the card. What do you think about this card? 

It's kinda see-through but with some falling foiled snowflakes element on the front. I embossed the sentiment in gold to give it a slight dimension.

DIY Stylist Tree Home Decor/Ornament

What's the project inspiration for today? Make this cute holidays decoration using recycled items and cutting dies by Crafter's Companion! Doesn't this look adorable? If you haven't noticed, there's a jingle bell inside the tree itself! How cool is that?! No doubt I would hang this on my Christmas tree, that's right it makes a super adorable ornament too. :)

I used the Stylist Tree die from the Contemporary Collection from Crafter's Companion, I love the modern design of the tree unlike the traditional ones. Don't get me wrong, I love all Christmas trees only that this one is a little special. I used a plastic cup, you can use any cup you like to DIY this but make sure the proportion of the tree and cup looks nice together. I folded the falling snow acetate into a pyramid shape and decorated it with the cutout stylist tree which I colored with gold Sparkle Pen.

Crafter's Companion Card Kit

So you have seen the cards I created so far using the Cuddly Christmas card kit by Crafter's Companion but do you know they also have the Traditional Christmas card kit?! Yes! For those of you who are not a big fan of contemporary designs you can choose this kit instead. I personally like them both, ok, maybe I lean towards the contemporary one slightly more than the other but to be honest they are both beautiful and I'm sure whoever you are sending the cards to they are going to appreciate your effort for putting them together. Both kits are currently still available on HSN so grab them while you can because they will be more new products coming in October and you don't know if they will be out of stock. 

Look at this card I put together, isn't is so simple looking but elegant? I promise they will be no complicated drawings and die-cutting. All you have to do is pop the pieces right out from the decoupage sheet and glue them to desirable patterned cardstock (this is high quality cardstock we are talking about, thick and sturdy!). 

On the other hand if you would like to use something that you already own to add feature to the card, you can do something similar to what I did using the Create-a-Card die to create an open window feature. Just like the Cuddly card kit, I also made 30 cards using this Traditional card kit! I don't think I'll be short on holidays cards this year. LOL.

Cuddly Christmas Card Kit

Crafter's Companion is having their first ever Christmas card kits, they are two different styles that you can choose from which is the Contemporary and the Traditional styles. My preference is the contemporary kit although the traditional one looks just as beautiful. 

I made this shaker card with one of the cardstock decoupages, I just love the dark sky design. Grab these kits from HSN website while they are still available because they are selling fast!

Make this pretty box to give the gift out! Crafter's Companion new Create-a-Card die is so versatile you can use to make not only cards but also this pretty box, no gift wrapping required! This style of die allows you to cut into a cardstock leaving the edge/surrounding patterns remain attached to the cardstock so you get a "Cut-In" look which is pretty awesome in my opinion.

Holidays 3D Embossing Folders on HSN!!

New 3D embossing folder is here! They will be on HSN this August 16th! You heard (read) it right, more products from Crafter's Companion is coming to HSN soon. These folders are so beautiful and all are holidays designs which mean you can get your Christmas crafting early this year (if you haven't been doing it already - lol). Easy Gift Wrapping Idea

DIY Christmas Ornament

Check out this DIY ornament I created using oatmeal container! Reuse and up-cycle unused items into something new. Not only it's cost effective but also environment friendly! Very festive for the season. You can personalize it by putting something different in the center on the container, such as pictures and other memorabilia items. 

Usually the oatmeal container is pretty tall, I cut it down to about 1 1/4" wide and use the original cover as the base. Add mini ornaments by punching two small holes on the side of the container and string twine and ornaments through. Then glue the clear acetate to the back of the opening and you get this! Don't forget to decorate the background with patterned papers if desired.

Christmas Card Using Negatives from Die-Cut

Another Christmas Card using Contemporary Christmas paper crafting collection by Sara Davies! Using the negative from a die-cut it makes another perfect simple and elegant card. Which means if you make a die-cut you are actually able to make two projects. How awesome is that?! My all-time favorite craft projects are die-cutting and stamping but I've been involved in die-cutting much more than stamping this year! Entwined Holly Card

I'm back!! Today's project is this Merry Christmas Card using paper piercing technique. I first did the center piece using regular die-cut method and then using the same die, I die-cut it on a gold mirror card and fill the missing pieces on the silver cardstock with the gold pieces like a puzzle. It's actually pretty easy to create and it looks great for the contrast. What's your opinion?!

Merry and Bright Christmas Card

I created this card using the embossing folder from Sara Signature Traditional Christmas paper crafting collection. It was embossed on a gold mirror card and trimmed by hand. The presents were all handmade (not from die-cut!). I love the Santa sleigh very much, perfect for this arrangement with all the presents stacked on top.

Holidays Countdown Series with CutCardStock

Welcome to the Holidays Countdown Series with CutCardStock! I'm going to share this quick and easy gift wrapping idea with you. This project is not only intended for wrapping chocolate bar (as illustrated in tutorial below), this idea also applies to other different gift wrapping. With Stardream Metallic cardstocks, it's easy to give any kind of project an elegant outlook. 

Since this is a easy project, the tutorial is going to be really short.

Directions:

Step 1: First prepare supplies as shown above. You can choose to use any decorative die that you prefer. 

Step 2: Trim the cardstock according to the length of the gift (in this case the length of the chocolate bar). Then score the cardstock according to the dimension of the gift. Fold along scored lines. 

Step 3: Wrap the cardstock around the gift and secure the opening with double-sided tape. 

 Step 4: Diecut the decorative band and then score the band similarly to step in Step 2. Wrap this around the crystal cardstock in Step 3.

Step 5: Apply ribbon and string mini ornaments. Tie a bow and done!

I hope you like this project idea. Little gifts like this is perfect for friend, kid's schoolmate, teacher or anyone!! It's an elegant inexpensive gift. After all it's the thought that counts. Remember to also check out the other posts created for this Holidays Series for much more inspirations!
