Multiple Spinning Love Card Tutorial

As requested by many lovely you I decided to post the tutorial here, if you are looking for the tutorial for the following card you've came to the right place! Hope you guys find it helpful. Happy Crafting and thank you so much for the love/comment you left for my card! :)

Directions:

Step 1: Cut nesting heart shapes on adhesive foams, starting from the third dies of the set and in pair work all the way to the smallest die (two copies per pair). Decorate it with red cardstock hearts.

Step 2: Using the largest heart die, cut shape on the card base and both the red cardstock and decorative paper.

Step 3: Adhere the red cardstock on the card base and apply double-sided foam tapes all around the red cardstock. Cut a thread that is 5 ¾” long and stick onto the foam tapes.

Step 4: Arrange the base for each size of shape behind the thread as shown above, stick the matching shapes to the base (sandwiching the thread).

Step 5: Stick decorative papers to the front of card base and inside card, finish card by adhering stamped sentiment to the card.

Multiple Spinning Love Card

Crafter's Companion will be on HSN in two days, I'm so excited to see everyone's creations using those new released products! I'm here today to share one of the projects I made for this release using the nesting heart dies. I'm always into interactive cards, you know those shakers, pull-up, pop-up and many more others including this multiple-spinning love card! It might not be Valentine's day but honestly you can make this anytime for your loved ones, for birthday, anniversary or just because!

Let take a look at this spinning card in action, I mean multiple-spinning card because spinning card just isn't cool enough so I added a couple more. LOL. Pardon my dark video background, I didn't have sufficient natural light and still figuring out how to edit a video's lighting. hehe. Enjoy!

Let's Make Cocktails - HSN May 7th!

It has been a very long hiatus since my last post, nothing big to announce I'm just have been busy with everyday life routines. We are finally settling in at our new home, it took quite awhile to find that familiarity (the feeling of being home) but it's not that hard to do together with the family. 

I'm back to share my first project I have created for HSN for this coming May 7th! May is definitely a celebratory month for us, my husband big day is in May so is our wedding anniversary. And don't forget about Mother's day (which falls on the same day as anniversary day this year!), so I don't think a glass of cocktail is enough! LOL. Hence I made it more fun by adding some shaker elements to it, let's get the party started!

This shaker card is made with the Let's Make Cocktails shaker dies and stamps set, yes - you have everything you need to make this shaker card! Of course, you will need your own glue and clear acetate! lol. And while you are at it, prepare the shopping list because I have a feeling it's going to run out fast.

A friend is like a good bra...!

Made something fun today, planning to send this to special friends who get my jokes. It's not hard to find a friend but to find a friend who understands you and won't get offended by your goofiness requires some luck, fate and effort. I'm grateful I have some close friends who accept me for who I am. People who first know me will take me as a quiet and very serious person (thanks to my introverted personality) but once you get to know the inner me, I like to tell jokes too and laugh hard. Life is too short to be serious all the time, don't you think? I used to be very responsive in conversations and make people laugh with sarcastic reply but after living in the States for a long period of time without these close friends around to have fun with, I kinda became even more serious and less humour in me (lack of practice I guess). I miss my friends back home, miss their company and laughter. So here it is, I dedicate this silly card to you Chin Ling, Oi Wun, Ivy Cheng, Li Yong, Qiao Shuang, Chew Fah. Thank you girls for your support and love all these years, wish I could hug you right now!

Happy Birthday Card Using Tri-Blend Markers

Is anyone crafting in this cold weather?! I don't feel so good today, not a big fan of cold weather. But instead of resting in bed I decided to color this cute bunny (I know it's not Easter yet although I wish it was). It's just too adorable to not color it and using the Tri-Blend markers it's even easier to color the flowers in the pot.

I don't usually use grey on my card but I want to try something different so I will experiment using colors I wouldn't normally use in my future creations. I hope you like this card!

Twinkling Trellis With Pretty Peony

My first card using both the new Create-a-Card Twinkling Trellis die and the Sara Signature's Pretty Peony paper crafting collection. This adopted the shaker card concept because there is no sequins in it even though I added a layer of clear acetate for the dimensional look.

The background was created using the Gemini FoilPress machine, the stamping plate used is called Grande Dot. This foiling machine is the best, it makes no errors, every foiling is perfect. The flower is a stamp from the Pretty Peony collection, it comes with a coordinating die so you don't have to fussy cut them. The stamped image is colored with Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers.

I'm BACK!! - Celebrate Shaker Card

Hi all, I'm back! It has been a long hiatus since my disappearance back in September last year, can't believe it's more than four months since my last post. If you are wondering what we are up to it's because we were in the process of moving! It was not easy to get everything back to routine, my kids need to change schools and many other things to touch up around the house. As a matter of fact, I'm still unpacking boxes after moving in two months ago. And I had just set up my small craft station last week so I get to start crafting again, yay!! (Still having difficulty finding my supplies!)

I made a couple of cards with the new craft table hubby got me for Christmas, I told him new things always inspire me. LOL. Here is one of the cards I made. I'm so glad Crafter's Companion has finally came out with their version of "torn panel" background die, love the trendy look! I colored the background using Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers in rainbow colors and create a shaker cards with it. I  filled each panel with unique sequins, I think it makes the card pops out even more. The sentiment is from one of the Gemini's Expression dies called Celebrate, it was on HSN last week!

Crafter's Companion On HSN Today!!!

How can you say no to these ink pads? They are so easy to apply and they are water-reactive, I love them!

The last card I'm sharing today is this Christmas card made with the Die'sire Edge'sbles dies! Two bundles available and four dies each (Total eight dies!). I used mainly glittered cardstock on this card, it's so shiny! And the layers, I just love to add dimensions to my card!

Sara Signature Winter Wonderland Papercrafting Collection

Last month Sara released one of her popular winter paper crafting collections - the  Winter Wonderland! Everyone fell in love with this collection when they first set their eyes on this because it's so beautiful! It uses the contemporary Christmas colors including blue, silver, white, green. It's indeed one of the kind collection she has ever released!

They are so many dies, embossing folders, stamps to choose from I couldn't decide which one to create first. So I picked randomly which was this very elegant Christmas tree and snowflakes dies. I like the metallic blue mirror cardstock together with the silver glitter-cardstock, they are such a perfect color combo for this card!

It was hard for me to create a 3D tree as the cutting die is really intricate (I tried cutting the same image for like at least six times on mirror, glitter cardstock and adhesive foams and believe me, I was almost had a heart attack when I had to throw out those cutouts) so I decided to glue as it is on the patterned cardstock and fill the blanks with glitter cardstock. The sentiment is absolutely a nice touch to this card though especially along with the stamped sentiments.

Stamps and Dies Card Kit

Yesterday was my birthday and today is happy crafting day on HSN!! Sara will be there to show you all the Crafter's Companion including the card kit! The newest kit is called the Stamps and Dies kit, I'm so amazed by the size of dies that comes in the kit, it's huge! Look at the butterfly and the rose dies I used on these cards below, they almost fill up the whole card front. These are the pre-scored card blanks that are included in the kit and I believe the dies will look just as amazing on larger card size.

This first one is a shaker card, as you can see I stamped on a heat-resistant acetate and heat-set it in gold embossing powder. I had so much fun making this! Oh and the sentiment, it can't be more accurate than this. 

The second one is this rose stamp (and a matching die, no fussy cutting!), I used it a little differently which is why it doesn't look like a rose. I stamped and heat-set also in gold embossing powder, it really makes those petals pop don't you agree?

Spectrum Noir Metallic Wax

Omigosh!! Spectrum Noir is now carrying their own brand of waxes!! Love these metallic waxes so much!! And the colors are just indescribably amazing, they have purple, turquoise, pink, red, blue and green. These waxes work very well on its own or multi-dimensional surfaces which you can create using the 3D embossing folders. The one I used here is the new holiday's word 3D embossing folders (also coming to HSN in 3 days!) called Joy To The World. Doesn't it look great with those shininess? I like how Spectrum Noir is including the untraditional colors of waxes such as purple and blue in the range because Christmas not necessary always in red and green!

Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers On HSN!

They say girls like shiny things that's so true because I'm for one is a fond of the Spectrum Noir metallic markers! Unlike the sparkle markers (which I also love!) the metallic markers give a shimmering effect instead of a glittery one! It's good for hand-lettering project or even coloring, like this one I created here. I used the markers to color in the rose and the background. 

I stamped the same image on the background (used Crafter's Companion black shimmering cardstock - black pearl) and heat-set it with white embossing powder, then I colored the surrounding with metallic markers. I really like how it turned out. These amazing markers will be on HSN again this August 15th, grab them before it's gone!

Gemini Go On HSN August 15th

Welcome August, still hard to believe it's already first week into August. Last month was a busy month for me, mainly I was preparing birthday invitation for my son who had just had his party 3 days ago (his actual birthday is later in August) but since he decided to have the party at the cinema and the show he picked out was just released two weeks ago we didn't want him to wait too long because then everyone would have had seen the movie already. 

And at the same time my DT assignments were sent out so I had to work on those so I could get them send out before due date! It had been a roller coaster for the past few weeks. But anyway, I'm back!! And I'm ready to show you what I'd been working on for the HSN show that's coming in a week - August 15th! All I can tell you is that awesome things are coming!! If you had seen the video Sara shared on Crafter's Companion page you'll know about the Gemini Go! The Geminis, they are just getting more and more adorable! Now I have a family of three of them, the original Gemini, Gemini Junior and now the brand new Gemini Go!

Birthday Party Collection On HSN!

This Birthday Party papercrafting collection is on HSN today! I created a few cards using the metal cutting dies, embossing folder and foil kit from this collection. This collection is a perfect one for making party decorations, cards, and so on! First of all I have this shaker card which I created using the number dies, the dimensions of these dies are around 1"-1.5" so they are perfect to create shaker card like this. Each of the number on this card is filled with unique sequins! 

Secondly is this easy and simple card using pre-cut decorative pieces from the 12 x 12 paper pad in this collection. All you have to do is punch out the shapes and embellish! For the background I used the non stick plastic film from one of the foil sheets. Killed two birds with one stone!

Lastly is the foiled background (this is the one where I used the non-stock film for card above) card, Another simple card using the pre-cut elements from 12x12 pad. Find Your Wings Stamps Set - HSN June 13th

Lookie here!! See what's coming to HSN next week June 13th! The stamps set used on all the following cards is going to be on HSN next week. Other than the love for coloring floral images I'm also into coloring living things which of course not limited to this beauty below. Crafter's Companion definitely hired the most talented designers!

For the following card I first stamped the image, colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers then I filled up the rest of the background in a deeper tone color. To create the tiny white splatters I used a clean toothbrush + white paint, it was then let dry before I applied a layer of gilding wax over it.

This is the easiest of all, I stamped and colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, fussy cut out and then stick it onto a card front.

I used alcohol inks to create the background for this card, stamped over the bird image in black permanent ink then recoloring it Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. What do you think about the result? 

Sara Signature Rustic Wedding - Congratulations Card

Sara Davies's Rustic Wedding collection is one her best collections ever created! This loving couple die is so fabulous for making wedding, congratulations or anniversary cards. The burlap pattern shown on the card below is actually a patterned paper, can you believe how realistic it looks?  I have created quite a number of cards using this die and I can say they all turned out exceptionally nice

(all credits belong to this beautiful die!).

Believe In Yourself Card Wtih Scraps

Are you one of those who tend to collect the scraps from your card making? Guilty as charged I have accumulated so much scraps over the years I can make so much cards out of them if I really put my heart into it. Sharing with you today is a card I created with some of the scraps from my previous project, it's not bad in my opinion for a card made with scraps. LOL. what do you say?!

I like the effect of the embossed metal sheet in the middle, Sheena's 3D embossing folder is perfect for this! It brings out the dimension so beautifully. I feel kind of a contentment knowing that I have  finally used some of the things I've been collecting.

Find Your Wings With DIY Background

I have recently invested in Ranger's alcohol inks and have been experimenting with it to see the different results. Following is one of the cards I created using the inks for background and stamped over with a stamp from Crafter's Companion named "Find Your Wings". 

After stamping the image I realized the lines on the wings were not as noticeable so I traced them with a white gel pen. I kind of like the background although it doesn't depict my style (I prefer clean look), once in awhile I like to create something out of my elements. Let me know what you think!

Sara's New Paper Crafting Collection - Rustic Wedding!!

Sara has another new collection that will be released on HSN this May 2nd - it's called Rustic Wedding and I can't tell you how amazing this collection is! It consists of so much fun elements in this one, 6x6 and 12x12 cardstock, A4 kraft card pack, metal dies (including create-a-card dies), stamps, embossing folders, and so on!!

Made two cards using some of the products in this collection, and they are more things than what you see here! I wish to at least make something with every single one of them but I also have other new stuffs waiting for me to play. LOL.
