Wishing You Cards

Thursday, May 28, 2015
The weather is getting warmer on my side and it reminds me of beaches and tropical breezes! From where I came from, we have a lot of palm trees near where we lived (it's almost like we were surrounded by palm trees) - miss my childhood. I'm very happy when I received this stamp so I can't wait but to make this cute little card so I can feel home again.

For this card I masked out part of the image on the stamp to get the way I wanted it. I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers.

The second card is this little cute Happy Birthday card, the flower vase is die-cut from die-namites and the sentiments are from JFF!

Happy Mother's Day!

Thursday, April 30, 2015
Mother's Day is around the corner, have you started making any cards yet for Mother's day yet? If you are not, not to worry I have this card to share with you today! Hopefully it gives you some inspiration to make one for your beloved mom this coming special day!

I used one of the rose stamp, stamped it in different tones and colors. Outlined them with black markers and colored the white background in bright gold (although it looks a bit like yellow). The center square was masked out for sentiment later, the sentiment which is also JFF's stamp. It gives you kind of a dimensional feel although it's an one layer card.

The embellishments are paper flowers, to add more dimensional look to the card.

Check out the brushed rose stamp below and the square frame, aren't they fantastic combination to create card?

Just For Fun Rubber Stamps Used:
- Brushed Rose
- 2 Sided Doodle Background/Frame, Lg.

I hope you like it! Happy Mother's Day and thank you for visiting my blog today!

You Are Amazing

Loving this new circle stamps from Just For Fun, it's so fun to create card background such as following. And not just the background, look at the Chevy's stamp it's so very cute too! If you are making card for him, this is perfect!

I stamped the background using different colors of dye inks and colored the Chevy with alcohol markers. Fun and easy to create!

Easter Blessings

Thursday, March 26, 2015
Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope your day has been treating you good! Thank you for checking in, I will be sharing another Easter card with you today. The bunnies stamp is so cute on this card, I have to make couple of these to send out to my friends and family! Thank you JFF for making such beautiful stamps!

Water colored background (again I know!), I just can't stop playing with the water colors lately. The background is then embossed. The bunnies on this card are not colored, to do this all you have to do is masking. Stamp same image on separate paper, cut it out and lay it on top of another stamped image then color the surrounding with dauber and ink.

I hope you like the card and that it gives you some inspiration to make your own, thank you again for taking time to stop by! Have a fantastic day and Happy Easter to you and your family!

Happy Easter Basket

Thursday, March 12, 2015
Hello all! It's Wednesday and it means it's my turn to share my card with you today. Easter is about a month away but I'm all in the mood to celebrate it already, perhaps because my son cannot stop asking me about Easter's egg hunt (he asks me like every other day since a month ago!). So here is the card of the day and of course, it has to be something about Easter eggs. hehe.

The background is water colored and the stamped image is colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I adore the Easter basket stamp very much, it's so cute!

You are a Whoot!

Thursday, February 26, 2015
Happy Wednesday!! This is Alexia here and I'm just popping in to share a card that I created yesterday! I was going to make a card for Chinese lunar year of goat but I was so busy preparing everything else I didn't have time to make one. So yesterday I decided to make this card using the owl stamp instead. I love this silly looking owl, too cute! And again, perfect sentiment from JFF!

To create this card, I first embossed a tree pattern using embossing folder from Darice and water colored it. Next will be stamping and coloring the owl, this part is fun! I used Copic this time instead of Spectrum Noirs alcohol markers, it appeared that I'm more used to using Spectrum, maybe because I have the entire collection so it's easier to match colors.

JFF Stamps Used:
- Flirty Owl
- You're a whoot

I hope you like the card today, JFF has a lot of fun stamps and matching sentiments you might be able to find something you like! Thank you for taking your time to check out the blog today, I wish you have a great day!

Valentine Shaker Card

Thursday, February 12, 2015
Happy Wednesday! Thank you for taking time checking in the blog today, I'm happy to be here to share a card for Valentine with you! Valentine's day is next week, will you be celebrating it with your loved one? I created the following shaker card for this special occasion, love the sentiment from JFF!

I used a single stamp and stamped it as two separate messages, the one on top and the one on the bottom. To do this, simply ink your stamp and use a piece of tape to cover the part where you don't want it to be stamped on the card. Do the same to the other part of the message.

Thank you again for visiting my blog, I hope you like the card that I share with you today. Happy Valentine!

It's a Cupcake Kind of Day!

Thursday, January 29, 2015
Hello all my crafty friends! I'm happy to be here to share this birthday card with you today! Like I mentioned in my previous post, I have been playing with water-color lately so I did some experiments with this watercolor paper. This time I'm doing heat embossing with watercolor.

Here is the card of the day, yes I'm also fascinated with bright colors lately. ;) I heat-embossed the cupcakes images using JFF's Cupcake stamp in clear embossing powder then water-colored the cupcakes before filling up the background.

Products used:
- Just For Fun Stamps Cherry Confetti Cupcake
- Just For Fun Stamps ...Cupcake Kind of Day
- Strathmore Watercolor Paper
- Tim Holtz Distress Inks
- VersaMark Ink Pad
- CutCardStock Super Smooth Cougar White Card Stock

I absolutely love the sentiment although the stamped cupcakes in the background already says it all. JFF also has other cupcake stamps, check them out and you might just find your favorite!

I want to thank you for taking your time to visit my blog today and I hope you like the card! Have a wonderful day!

Rise When You Fail Card

Friday, January 16, 2015
Hi all, I hope you are having a good day! This is Alexia and I'm here to share a water-colored and stamped with beautiful JFF Stamps with you! I have been playing with water color lately so here is another water-colored card. I purchased some Strathmore water-color paper recently and I love the result very much. I used the cold press water color paper on this one, the paper has this bumpy texture to it that makes your project looks even better.

So here is the card, I used the jumping girl silhouette stamp for this card and the sentiment is also from JFF! Love the sentiment, it's motivating.

I colored the background with Tim Holtz distress inks.

Thank you for visiting my post today, I hope you like the card and decide to give this water color paper a try (if you haven't already). Also, don't forget to get some JFF stamps, absolutely gorgeous designs for your projects!

Merry Christmas Mini Album

Thursday, December 11, 2014

Hello all! Today I'm sharing one of two Holidays projects I created for Just For Fun Rubber Stamps for the cross promotion with Altered Pages. I love the products from both companies, they are such a perfect combination to create this mini album. Thank you Altered Pages for the products they sponsored to make this project!

This is the front of the mini album, to create the distressed look around the cover I used the Momento Dew Drop ink pad from Altered Pages. Mixed the ink with modeling paste and gentle apply on all edges of the mini album's cover. The star border is embossed in gold embossing powder to create the shiny look.

Here are the pages inside the mini album:

Page 1 - Stamped ornament image from JFF on the pocket envelope from Altered Pages

Here is the nested page for the above

Page 2 and 3 - Picture on the left page and note on Page 3. Stamped sentiment from JFF 'Tis the season' on the tag from AP. Love the collage print from AP too, great for embellishing mini album.

Here are the nested pages for the above, more rooms for pictures!

Page 4 and 5 - Picture on the left and right pages (the space for pictures is inside the nested pages shown after this image). Stamped poinsettias from JFF.

Page 10 and 11 - More area for notes and details on the left page - a hidden pull out tag and a hidden envelope where you can pull out from the top (see picture after this image).

Here is the second area for note or picture! The right page is a folder made with corrugated paper to serve as storage for pictures! Any extra pictures that can't fit go in here.
