Mother's Day Waterfall Album and Card Combo

Saturday, April 23, 2016
Hello CutCardStock fans! I'm back today with this waterfall card and album combo project for Mother's Day! This is my first project using waterfall design and I can tell you this is really amazing. I love the idea and by combining it with the brown bag kraft envelopes, it can now store pictures, notes and other memorable things. Check below for tutorial to create this fun and cool looking album.

Directions:

Step 1: Cut the inner shape as shown in picture above, 5 1/8" x 5 1/4", make sure do not cut the right side of the card stock.

Step 2: Remove the shape marked with red lines, the space between the inner shape and red lines should be 3/4" wide.

Step 3: Prepare 5 Envelopes. Re-size four of the envelopes by removing 1/2" in increment for each of them. For example, remove first envelope at 1/2", second at 1", then 1 1/2" and finally 2". Remove excess to form smaller envelopes. The second picture above shows the result from this step.

Step 4: Turn the blue card stock over and score the inner square at 1/2" intervals, start from the right. There should be a total of five 1/2" scored and folded areas. Prepare a brown card stock that is 5 1/4" x 7" in size, score and fold at 1/2" on the left and adhere on the first 1/2" of the blue card stock. See picture above.

Step 5: Turn blue card stock over and start gluing the Kraft envelopes to the blue card stock. First, glue the regular size envelope on the first 1/2" of the inner square then followed by second smaller so on and so forth until the smallest envelope is adhered to the last scored 1/2" of the blue card stock.

Step 6: Decorate the envelopes with patterned card stocks and embellishments. Cut a larger heavy card stock to use as the base and glue the bottom of the waterfall album (make sure to not glue the right side of the album).

Here is what you will get...

Quiet Moments Mini Album

Saturday, February 14, 2015
Happy TGIF to all, the weekend is finally here and what's your plan? If crafting is one of the must-dos on your list then I have this little project idea for you! This is my third project using Clear Scraps' February kit and I can tell you this sweet pocket-sized mini album is something you will want to have. It's so adorable and it's great for making brag book/album or giving it out as gift.

I created this mini album with my children's pictures in it and I have it in my purse to remind me about how lucky I am to have them in my life and one of the reasons that got me started in creating and capturing memories. I love the Prima's flowers, it coordinates well with the paper choice in this kit.

Here are the shots of the inside of the album, I use a trim or ribbon (not included in the kit) to tie all pages together.

You can also add more pages to it with card stock if you think the album has too few pages. I had so much fun making this project because the album is small so it doesn't take much time to create. Decorating it was the part I enjoyed most because I love embellishments!

I hope you enjoy this project! To get this February kit, go to Creating Made Easy Kit Club

Thank you for visiting the blog today, I hope you have a wonderful day! -Alexia

Life is Beautiful Mini Album

Sunday, January 11, 2015
Hi all! I hope you are having a great day. I want to share a mini album project with you today! Yes, there is a chipboard album in this January kit and I loved it. It's perfect because I usually like to make mini albums instead of a regular sized album (I don't have much patience - lol). So I created the following album to share with you!

Here is the cover for the mini album, I decorated the cover with these pink flowers (it comes with the kit!). To create a dimensional look I glued two flowers together (position the top flower slight off the bottom layer and trim the excess). Then embellish the center of the pink flowers with die-cut flowers.

Inside the mini album, page 1 and 2:

Page 3 - 4 (I added page 4 and 5, it's folded bottom-up card stock)

 Page 5-6

Page 7-8

Page 9-10

You can see I applied the same method to all the flowers in the album here, I think they look great and the color matching perfectly with all the patterned card stocks from Teresa Collins. This kit is wonderful, I love the color combinations that they put together.

Not included in the kit: The file rings

If you are also interested in this kit, you can get it here: Clear Scraps Creating Made Easy Kit Club

I hope I inspire you to create today! Thank you for your time and continue have a fantastic weekend!
