Let your heart have wings

Wednesday, July 30, 2014
Got good news from Scrap n' Art Magazine that one of my submissions has been chosen to publish on their magazine, if you've been following my posts it's the "Puzzle + Water Color" card HERE (I had to remove the post from my blog for the publishing so please check back later!).

I made a card for JFF Rubber Stamp and it's also on their BLOG today!
When I was a kid I used to dream to be like a bird, flying high and freely in the sky! So when I saw this seagull silhouette stamp I was so excited and made this card, it reminds me of my childhood. :-)

Background created by stenciling cut-out cloud shapes, daubed blue inks around shapes. After that embossed with cloud pattern.

Create mirror image by stamping embossing ink on a plastic and transfer the image on to a white paper. Heat embossed it in clear color and colored image with alcohol blue ink. The pattern on the bird is from JFF's StampTangle Pear Stamp.

Lastly, the perfect sentiment for the card. Let you heart have wings and fly!

Supplies:
- CutCardStock #100 Cougar White Card Stock
- Dooddlebug Sequins
- Darice Clouds Embossing Folder
- Loew Cornell 36-Watecolor
- Just For Fun Rubeer Stamp Seagull Silhouette

Card For Shopaholic

Wednesday, July 23, 2014
Hello all, today I want to share with you a card that I made using some Just For Fun Stamps. I love this woman shopper silhouette stamp when I first saw it and knew that I had to have it. I was also excited to know Just For Fun has just the perfect title for my card. :-) To be honest, I'm not a shopaholic (except shopping for craft supplies - lol) but I had this picture of my best friend in my mind before I created this, she loves to shop and she is a big fan of the novel "Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella. So that's where I got my inspiration from. I hope you like the card. :)

I have this card posting on Just For Fun Stamps Blog today too, check it out!

The circles background stamp is also one of my favorites, I love that the stamping area is large enough to cover my entire work surface.

Stamped and cut out boots using same stamp and adhered to card with foam tapes.

Supplies:
- CutCardStock's #110 White Card Stock

Letterpress Ink with Embossing Folder

Saturday, July 19, 2014
How is everyone doing today? It's Saturday and I get to create something while my little girl is napping (of course that means some house chores are not being done - hehe), we must pamper ourselves once in a while, right? :p

I was playing with my embossing folder and letterpress ink so I inked the background of folder's pattern with letterpress ink and ran it through my Big Shot, here is the result...

I used JFF's StampTangle Owl Stamp and colored it with alcohol ink.

Love the title, it's also from JFF Stamps

Worth the time, now back to house chores... hehe

Many Thanks Card

Thursday, July 17, 2014
Hi, all. I hope all is doing good. I'm here to share a card I made couple days ago but I'm feeling sad (deep down) after I learned that the Malaysia Airlines plane MH17 crashed in Ukraine yesterday. There were 295 people on board including cabin crews, I believe (according to the news as well) that none has survived from the crash. The news reported that the plane was shot down by missiles launched by the Russians. My heart goes out to the victims families, sending prayers and may the victims rest in peace.

Here is the card I made few days ago using JFF rubber stamps, easy, clean and simple:

Upcycled Oatmeal Container

Wednesday, July 2, 2014
My recent project - recycling an oatmeal container to a home decor (wall frame). I had been wanting to do this for awhile now but got demotivated due to never ending house chores and two young kiddos. Until two days ago I got so determined to start this project and tell you what, I finished it! lol. How many of you have unfinished project(s)? I have countless! ***guilty*** I feel so satisfied to get this one done and in such a short time too!

Here is the final result, to be honest it looks a lot better in real. I cut the container manually to like 1.5" wide for each of them.

Wrapped them around with patterned papers and embellished with embellishments.

My daughter in picture

This wired flowers I got from recent's Basic Grey warehouse sales, I didn't know what to do with them at first but now I think they found their home. lol.
