Special Delivery

Sunday, June 30, 2013
Can't believe it's already the last day of June! Way too fast to even catch a breath! So, today I made a card for a friend in my hometown, she'll be delivering a baby in July (oh yes, it's any day start tomorrow!) so I created this card to send to her, hoping it gets there just in time to congratulate her and share my joy with her.

The thing is I don't know the gender of her baby, she did not reveal it. Thus I tried to make something more unisex, not too feminine nor masculine. It was a little hard for me until I found this cute little duckies patterned paper in my paper stack. It's from Recollection, bought it some time ago but never got the chance to use it. Perfect for this one, isn't it?

 Here is the card:

The baby silhouette image is from SVGCuts.com online website, free for download

Stamped title 'Special DELIVERY' is from Hampton Art, g-studio and is embossed with copper embossing powder. I loved the feel of touch on the embossed image, it's slightly coarse compare to other colors.

I also layered a vellum paper between the patterned paper and the Kraft paper to create a translucent look to the image.

I hope she'll like it and her baby will bring her and her family so much joys and laughter. Congratulations Joanne and can't wait to meet your little bundle of joy! xoxo

Submitting this for Simon Says Stamp Blog Challenge, I don't have their stamps but would love to win some if possible... (if I'm lucky).. lol. The title of the challenge is 'Anything Goes' so I decided to create something clean and simple today.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day everyone!

Congratulations!!!

Please check back later, submitted for magazine publication! :) This is the time of the year again where students graduate from school! We are invited to attend a relative's graduation party tomorrow, she has finally graduated from high school and will be starting her college life in September. Unfortunately my husband has to work on weekend thus we can't attend the party. Actually we were notified about the party just today, so I think perhaps I could come up with a card for her. It took me awhile, while my little angle was napping (that was a total of 2 hours) and that's how long it took me to finish up the card.

I used Technique Tuesday stamps that I won from their '7 Days of Giveaways' contest and dew drops from Tsukineko. More product details at the end of post.

Stamped title 'Congratulations' on a vellum paper

Tulip flowers as the background image (on a piece of white card stock and wrapped the stamped vellum around it)

A banner with touch of rhinestone to add dimension to the card, popped up with foam stickers! The base card itself is from Core'dinations' sand-it-down collection so it gives such a beautiful distressed look to it after I brushed it with the sanding block.

Products used:
- Core'dinations Card Stock (Fancy Pants Design)
- Core'dinations Sanding Block
- Technique Tuesday Stamps
- Recollections Rhinestone
- Tsukineko Dew Drops
- Ranger Distress Ink Pad
- Recollections Vellum Paper
- Recollections Black Card Stock

I hope she will like the card! Congratulations on your graduation Jennifer!

Everything Happens For a Reason

Tuesday, June 18, 2013
Isn't it funny sometimes you have no time at all for weeks to create just one card, the other time you find yourself create a couple of them in a day? Today is the day for me, I created two cards (***feeling happy and satisfied***)! It really is therapeutic to being able to sit down without interruption and make something we like/love!

Ok, back to the topic...I'm just gonna upload one card here because I have submitted the other card that I made to Paper Crafts contest, the condition indicates that the work should not be published anywhere else on the internet, so I'll keep it a secret, for now. :)

Here is the other card I made today. I'm going to submit this for another contest too but since they don't say I cannot post it online so I guess I'll share. hehe

I'm so glad that thing has finally going back on track, I started creating again after a long hiatus last year due to the birth of my second child. Things that I know after the delivery of my daughter was - BUSY, so I basically don't know anything. Evangeline, my daughter is almost 8 months old now hence I get a little (I really mean 'little') time off for myself to create. I'm just grateful for everything that I have. Thank you too for still reading my blog. :) ***showing my gratitude***

That's all for now folks, I hope I manage to post more not long from now. I'll see you then. xoxo.

Happy Father's Day!

Friday, June 14, 2013
I'd been thinking about what to make for my husband for the coming Father's Day (on behalf of the kids) for quite awhile and didn't know where to start until I found this cute suitcase cut file from silhouette online store (it's free for download cut shape this week), I modified it a little bit to fit the theme. Since my DH is an acupuncturist so I figured it would be more appropriate/creative to create something that reflects what he does?

Here is the card: (mis-spelled the Acupuncture as 'Acupunture', oh well, I think the kids' father won't mind it hehe)

Simple and masculine, love it. What do you think? I just love MME papers, they are all so beautiful. If we were in a better financial situation, I will collect all the collections. Just looking at those papers makes me happy, that's right, just looking! What to say? I'm a paper maniac!

I would send my dad Father's day card handmade by me too if he was still around, he left us about 14 years ago when I was only 14 years old (now that I talk about it only I realized the numbers, both 14! Time flies) due to sickness. I pray that he is now happy and well in his world.

Here too I wish all the Fathers a very happy and wonderful Father's Day!

Crossword Card

Friday, June 7, 2013
Submitted this card for Paper Crafts' Gallery Idol Contest before but didn't get picked, well I enjoyed the experience and great to see so many other awesome ideas and inspirations! I will definitely try again next year! :)

I used NikiSivils' paper that I purchased awhile ago, I cut it into a crossword-like template and popped it up with foam stickers. Alphabets are from Momenta.com, glittered and shiny!  Love it!

The contest allowed up to three cards submission so I created this one too, with bottle caps and chipboard dice. (the theme was Birthday cards for kids/teen).

Thank you for stopping by my blog!
