Christmas Gift Box With Shaker Cover

Thursday, September 29, 2016
Good day all my crafty friends! I'm here today to share this shaker cover gift box project with you. What is it you ask? It's just a regular gift box but with a shaker cover. My husband asked me what is it for and who would need a box like this? So I replied "I would! First it's handmade and second it shakes! Could you find something like this in the store?!". Honestly, I don't know if they have it in store but I have never seen a box like this. Hence I think it's quite unique. What's your opinion? Would you like to receive something like this?

The top pattern is a die-cut using the brand new Create-a-Card die from Crafter's Companion which will be available on HSN in just few days (October 5th to be exact). They are other products debut as well, make sure to catch the show! I will be back to share with you a card I created using this same die in a couple days! Stay tune....!

Thank You Card For Fall

Saturday, September 24, 2016
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, love the strong breeze and the colors of fall foliage. So I created this fall card today to share with you, a thank you card perfect for this thanks-giving season. I love the shimmering curious metallic super gold cardstock with the gold foil, orange and yellow cardstocks together, brings out the festivity around this time of the year.

Directions:

Step 1: First die-cut the Super Gold curious metallic cardstock using this rectangle stitched die from Simon Says Stamps. Save the cutout on the left for another card or project.

Step 2: Prepare all the embellishments (leaves, branches, bird, hill layers, and a brown color inner frame). Prepare desired sentiment to be used on this card as well.

Step 3: Apply double-sided foam tape to the back of the frame from Step 1 and adhere the hill layers to it followed by the brown inner frame prepared in Step 2.

Step 4: Emboss a gold foil cardstock with leave-patterned embossing folder and adhere to the back of of frame / right on top of the brown frame as pictured below.

Step 5: Embellish the card with cutouts from Step 2 along with the sentiment.

And done! I'm going to make couple more of these to send out to friends and family, what's better than a handmade thank you card for a person you care/love to thank them for being awesome?! I hope you like the card and it inspires you to create some too. Have a fabulous weekend! - Alexia

Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy Stamps with ColourBlend!

Wednesday, September 21, 2016
I'm back today with a card created with the new Sheena's Halloween Stamp Sets - Spooky. I colored this image with my new toy - Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencils by Crafter's Companion. The ColourBlend will be on HSN with great deal on the coming October 5th so make sure to set the alarm and don't miss the deal! The ColourBlend pencils comes in five different cases each for a different coloring experience! They five sets including "Essentials, Naturals, Florals, Primaries and Shades and Tones" are perfect for coloring different categories of objects.

I used the Die'sires Classiques 12x12 stitched die to create the stitched frame! Yes, you don't really need a rectangle die to make that, I find this 12x12 border dies very useful. Don't forget, you can even create a 12 x 12 scrapbook page with this stitched die! How awesome?!! Basically, any size of stitched frame as long as it's smaller than 12" is possible with these amazing dies.

Stay On The Path You Have Chosen

Sunday, September 18, 2016
Halloween is around the corner! Created this Halloween card using the stamps from Sheena's A Little Sketchy - Spooky collection. I like the scary tree and the spooky eyes in this collection, to see more selections in this collection check out Crafter's Companion Online Store. The images are colored with ColourBlend pencils and to be honest this was my first time use and I already falling in love with it! It's truly blend-able (unlike any other store bought color pencils!).

For this card I only used few color tones so it's actually pretty easy to blend. I like how the eyes are peeking out through the dark night! I showed this to my husband and for a person who doesn't like paper crafts like himself he said it looks scary - I guess point delivered?! hehe

It's Your Special Day!

Friday, September 16, 2016
Sharing a card created with the new Colorista markers pad, this is actually the third project I made with just one A4 sized coloring page! I bet I could still whip up another one with the remaining scraps. LOL. The glittery coloring image gives this card a gorgeous look, not to mention the most beautiful monarch butterfly die that I used totally completes the look of this card!

The Colorista line is currently available on HSN, go HERE to check it out!

The image is colored with Colorista Pens, it's alcohol ink based and the colors are so beautiful!

I hope you like the card. Thank you for stopping by!

Shaker Birthday Card!

Monday, September 12, 2016
Another birthday card (and soon will be more!) that I'm sharing today used the Ornate Trellis background die by Crafter's Companion - Floral Delight collection. I created this shaker card by layering a clear acetate behind the ornate trellis die and sprinkle some sequins on the card before I sealed it with double-sided foam tape. It's has been a challenge to me when it comes to adhering the acetate to paper and I don't have a super sticky double-sided tape so I applied spray adhesives. It worked sometimes and other times the acetate would separate itself from the paper when the spray adhesives dried. Do you have a better solution to this? I'd greatly appreciate it if you could share the secret with me!!

I cut a circle on the card base itself  (the purple patterned paper) to make it looks like the sequins are flowing out from the circle in the center. The sentiment is from JUST FOR MEN stamp set but clearly this is not a card for man. LOL. The band that the sentiment sits on is a 12" stitched edge die. See supplies list for other supplies information.

Fun Halloween Treat Box

Saturday, September 10, 2016
Hi all! This is Alexia and I'm back today with a fall project - fun Halloween treat box, can't believe Fall is here already. I love autumn but I miss summer very much too, what a conflicting feeling. Anyway, Fall is here which means Halloween is around the corner (even though it's 'just' seven weeks away - hehe).

I created this bat Halloween treat box or gift box, fun for parties and treat or treating. Download the cut file below to get this project started!

Step 1: Download svg cut file from the end of post. Open with your Silhouette Studio and cut the images separately. Total of two cut images. Image size may be adjusted accordingly to your paper size or to the size of box that you want. Note: When resizing, make sure to 'select all' and resize both images together so the cover and the box itself remains the same size.

Step 2: Here is the sample of the cut out image for the box cover, assemble flaps together to form a cover as shown in second picture below.

Step 3: Cut couple of orange squares and adhere to the sides of the box and the inside of the box cover. As pictured below. The adhere all white flaps together to form a box.

Here it is!! I created two different sizes and they are perfect for filling up with treats. For bigger size of box, you may cut half of the image on one sheet of A4 and cut the other half on another then assemble the two together to make one big box.

I hope you like this Halloween project! Looking forward to sharing more fall projects with you soon. Have a creative day! - Alexia

Happy Birthday Card

Thursday, September 8, 2016
Popping in to share a quick card with you, this card is made with the Butterfly Lullaby 6x6 paper pad and Floral Delight's die. I simply fell in love with this Ornate Trellis border the first time I laid my eyes on it. It's so elegant and beautiful. Don't you agree? I made quite a few cards with this die which I can't wait to share them with you soon! I recently got a handmade card order from a teacher and the quantity is quite a lot! I'm so grateful that people are giving me chances to do more in this area than just doing it for fun. I hope someday I can have my own crafty business ***a girl can wish*** hehe

I stamped it with the JUST FOR MEN (yes, apparently it's not just for men) sentiment stamp set! I think it looks quite well with the design of the card, what do you say? For more about the supplies information, see supplies list below. I believe the butterfly die is currently available on HSN only.

A prize will be drawn for each blog you visit so you will a total of 14 chances to win plus overall winner! Each of the 14 winners will receive either pencils, pens, card making sets or paper pads and the overall winner will receive a selection of all mentioned.

I made this project for this event, turned my coloring page into an envelope! What's better than sending a beautiful colored page on the outside instead of in the envelope (or both - one on the inside and one as the envelope)?!!

I first colored one of many fabulous coloring pages from the Premium Markers Pad with Spectrum Noir Colorista pens then cut to form an envelope template. I love the these coloring pads so much because it's made of thick quality papers so the inks won't soak through the back of the coloring page! Many other coloring books in the market the pages usually aren't as thick and high quality. Another thing I love about this range is the Colista Pens, love the ultra fine nib on one end to allow you to get the detailed part of the image that can't be easily reached with a brush nib.

I think this would cheer up my day if I were to find this in my mailbox, it's colorful, handmade (colored with love), flowery, it's like a bundle of love!!

I hope you enjoy my project! It's simple but totally a wonderful idea to show someone that you are thinking about them. Don't you agree?! Now hop on and check out what our very talented Giovana Smith has in store for you! Following is the complete list of blog hop links in case you lost your way! lol.
